Privacy Policy

Your secrets, forever, are only yours. Unravel offers two games — Truth or Dare (18+) and Heart to Heart (deep conversations, all ages) — and both are built on the same commitment to 100% privacy. We understand these games involve deeply personal moments, so we built Unravel using a "local-first" architecture. Here's what that means in practice:

What We Don't Do

• Zero data upload: The names you enter, the gender selections, the level you choose, the cards you draw, your answers — nothing is ever transmitted to our servers or any third-party cloud.
• Ephemeral storage: All game data lives only in your browser's memory (or optionally in your browser's localStorage if you enable Favorites). Once you close the tab, most data is destroyed.
• No tracking cookies: We don't use invasive tracking cookies to analyze your private interactions. You can enjoy the game without feeling watched.
• No personal accounts: There's no signup, no email required, no password. You just play.
• No analytics on gameplay: We don't log which questions you answered, which level you played, or how long you stayed. That's private.

What We Do Store (Locally)

A few small things are stored in your own browser (not our servers) so the game works nicely between sessions:

• Language preference (so you don't have to re-select your language every visit)
• Age gate confirmation (so you don't have to confirm 18+ on every page load)
• Favorite questions (if you save any, they're stored locally in your browser)
• Unlock progress (Level 3/4 unlocks are remembered per session)

You can clear any of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for unravelcouplegames.com.

Third-Party Services

Unravel uses a minimal set of third-party services to keep the site running. We've chosen these carefully to minimize data exposure:

Cloudflare (Hosting)

Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log standard web request data (IP address, user agent, page requested) for security and performance purposes. This is standard for all websites and is not accessible to us in a personally identifiable way. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Google Fonts (Typography)

We load two typefaces (Montserrat and Playfair Display) from Google Fonts. Google may record basic browser data when fonts are requested. No cookies are set. See Google Fonts Privacy FAQ.

Tailwind CSS (Styling)

We load Tailwind CSS from cdnjs (a public CDN). No personal data is collected.

Unsplash (Blog Images)

Our blog pages show images hosted on Unsplash. Unsplash may record standard web request data when images are loaded. See Unsplash Privacy Policy.

Adsterra (Advertising)

To keep Unravel free, we show advertising from Adsterra (a mainstream advertising network). Adsterra may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads. See Adsterra's Privacy Policy.

If you'd prefer not to see ads, you can use an ad blocker — we won't block your access or shame you for it.

Data We Don't Share

Because we don't collect personal data in the first place, we have nothing to share with anyone. Full stop.

If a government agency, researcher, marketer, or anyone else requested your game data, we could truthfully tell them: we don't have it. It was never ours to give.

Children's Privacy

Our two games have different age requirements:

• Truth or Dare is strictly for users aged 18 and older. It contains intimate and adult-themed content.
• Heart to Heart (deep couple conversations, no physical contact) has no age gate and is appropriate for anyone in a committed relationship who wants to have better conversations with their partner.

We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone. If you have concerns about a minor's use of our service, please contact us at contact@unravelcouplegames.com and we will take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy regulations, you have the right to:

• Access any personal data we hold about you (we don't hold any)
• Request deletion of any personal data (there's nothing to delete)
• Opt out of data sale (we don't sell data)
• Data portability (n/a — you already have your local data)

For ad-related data (cookies set by Adsterra), you can opt out through your browser settings or use a privacy-focused ad blocker.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, make a note on the home page.
